One thing I love the most about shooting newborn sessions in the client's home is getting to see the nursery that was created to welcome the new bundle of joy home. Getting to see the theme or colors that were chosen for this new baby's room and feel the love that was put into it. I also feel like it makes people more comfortable in front of the camera when they are in their own space. It's their comfort zone so usually everyone is more relaxed. I also think it makes the photos more special to be captured in your own home and to be able to use the things that may be special to you for the photos.
A couple weeks ago I got to capture Grayson's photos and get to see the sweet nursery his parents have created for him. He has an adorable room with some Penn State decorations and other cute details that all tie it in. I could already picture his mom and dad rocking him in the rocker next to the window reading him stories from the books on his shelves.
This little sweetheart did amazing during his session and was definitely comfortable in front of the camera. His doggy big sister even got in on some of the photos, it was the sweetest thing to see how protective she is of him. I'm so honored that I was able to capture these photos for this sweet little family and can't wait to capture more for them.
Here is a little peek into the session...
